Services I  Provide

MOBILE NOTARY:
What is a Mobile Notary?  A Mobile Notary is a Notary Public who travels within the State that he/she is
appointed to perform their Notary duties.

A Notary is a ministerial official who identifies a document signer and completes certificates as set
forth in the states Notary Laws.  A notary's two basic job functions are to witness or verify the signing of
documents and to administer oaths when they are required by notarizing text, committing the signer,
signatures, and certificates.  A Notary's can administer oaths and affirmations; take affidavits and
depositions; receive and certify acknowledgements of such instruments as Deeds, Mortgages, and
Powers of Attorney.

A Notary is
not  responsible for verifying the truth or accuracy of the contents of a document nor does a
notary make a document  Legal, Official, or Validated. If there are errors, omissions, or discrepancies
in the document prior to notarization it will contain the same errors if notarized.
Notarization is a serious legal business. In performing my functions, I try to prevent fraud and compel
truthfulness.

The signer is required to provide a witness, if one is needed, and must provide a valid form of
identification that provides a physical description of the signer(s).  Acceptable forms if identification are:
current passport from any country as long as it is written in a language the Notary can read.; a valid
United States driver's license; a valid United States photo Identification card; a United States military
identification card.

Notarizations are only done on documents written in English.  The Notary must be able to
communicate in English directly with the signer(s) as New Jersey law forbids Notaries to use a
translator to communicate with the signer(s)

Disclaimer:  A Notary Public is not an Attorney at Law and it is illegal for a Notary to give any form of
Legal Advice.

As "mobile notary,"  I'm available after normal business hours and on weekends.  I can make visits to
hospitals, convalescent homes, assisted living facilities (for the elderly and disabled), offices,
restaurants, or in the park.  I go where needed, within reason,  for anyone who needs my services after
working hours.

PROOFREADING:
Proofreading brings one final look at documents that have already been edited and formatted,
whether by one or several individuals, and checks for any remaining errors and inconsistencies
in use of grammar, language, and format. Copy can be submitted and returned according to the
client's needs.  Please remember, I am
not an editor or copywriter.

Anyone and everyone who puts thoughts, ideas, or messages on paper, to be publicly read, needs the
services of a proofreader.

  Why?
1.) To ensure that your writing conveys a professional image,
2.) To ensure that you communicate as effectively and as clearly as possible,
3.) To prevent costly reprints of published materials,
4.) To detect errors that no spell-checking or grammar-checking software can find or correct and
5.) To save money on the tedious, time-consuming job of doing it yourself.

Basic Edit:  Editing such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and word usage.
Critique:   Assessment of the overall document including character development, theme, voice and
point of view. Making sure the information flows logically.

A page constitutes double spaced, 250-words, 12-point font, 1" margins all borders.

NOTE:
Classroom materials;  journalistic articles; newsletters; e-mail messages; advertisements; flyers;
recipes; marketing materials; brochures; business forms; restaurant menus;  are on a per word basis.

VIRTUAL ASSISTANTING
A Virtual Assistant (VA) is an independent entrepreneur who enjoys the flexibility of working from their
own office with a wide variety of clients. An independent contractor, meaning they are not employed by
any employment agency or by the client...not a temp - but self-employed.

As a VA, I work in partnership with the client, providing specialized business support on a regular,
adhoc, or project basis.  My support ranges from administrative, creative, technical, organizational, to
personal. I  am available after normal business hours, so that work or project doesn't have to wait until
the next business day to get completed.

I communicate with the client by e-mail, phone, instant messaging, or fax.  Some clients I will have to
meet  face-to-face, while others are truly virtual.  If the client is local, it may be convenient to mix on-site
visits with working from home; if another is remote then the working relationship will be online, by
postal mail or by phone.

BENEFITS OF A VA:
I am available on an as-needed basis. You have the flexibility of my assistance for just a few hours a
week, several hours a week or longer, depending on the workload.

Charges are purely on hours worked. Think about it, no pay for unproductive time...gossiping around
the water cooler, surfing the net, or personal phone calls.

You don't have to pay for sick days or holidays.

You, (the client) is saved, not only money, because they do not provide space, equipment, furniture,
water, tea, coffee and other amenities...but TIME. Time is a non-renewable resource - scarce in today's
fast paced world.

Your day is not disrupted by having someone in the office that you have to supervise or train.
As with other business expenses, the cost of a VA is fully tax deductible.

Unlike working with a temp agency, you will be working with the same person every time.  No wasted
time explaining the requirements over and over.  Over time I get to know your business,(you get to know
me),  how and what you like, I can become a valuable/trusted sounding board for business and
marketing ideas. Someone with whom you can bounce ideas and share concerns.

No matter how much/how little work there is, that's all you are charged for.
